Corleone was never into politics. He bought politicians. Mafia leaders don't like to be on magazine covers. They own the magazines and decide which joker will entertain and distract the public. Trump is not a mob boss. He is just a media figure who is seeking more attention. The presidency gives him that access and reputation to expand his personal brand, nothing else. Of course, that's only my opinion, and I have never set foot in the United States. So, I might be wrong.
