How to Confidently Publish Your Crappy Article on Medium
Today I’m publishing my first article on Medium; it looks terrrrrrific; I’m a genius writer, the modern Shakespeare, and the best writer who ever lived. Publish! That was easy.
Four months later… that is the worst article someone could write about money; I’m a disaster, a failure, and the worst writer of all time.
Have you ever found that the more you write, the harder it gets, and the more you feel it’s harder to hit the green publish button? Initially, you wrote for fun and instinctively, but now you have become the worst critic of your writing.
I’m going to tell you a secret about how I managed to publish two daily articles despite my lack of professional writing education and average English skills.
The purpose of every article I publish isn’t to be perfect; if that were the goal, I would never write a single piece in a week; the goal has always been to teach a specific lesson in a simple conversation with a friend reader.
I never take the sophistication of writing too seriously or consider myself a writer in the first place; when you write to transform, you focus on the lesson and the essence of your story instead of worrying a lot about the quality of your articles.
