…o remain in our old 165-year-old farmhouse or downsize to a simpler-to-maintain condo or apartment. But we love our old home. Uneven floors. Crooked doors. Well-worn wide planks. Drafty windows and creaky stairs. She is a graceful old girl, and we love her. And we are creaky ourselves. Moving away from her now seems unkind.
