I speak three languages fluently and comfortably, Arabic, English, and Mandarin, and these are some of the most challenging languages. Still, I had no problem learning them because they are structured languages with clear grammar. I have lived in Turkey for almost three years, and the Turkish languages combine many Arabic words. Yet, I'm unable to learn the language because it's a street language that depends on vocal and special rules than structured grammar. You can't learn Turkish unless you go to the street. French is a tough language, so kudos to you. I don't find apps helpful as they don't provide practical experience or teach the brain to get familiar with conversations. Thanks for sharing your experience, and I wish you all the best with learning french.
