Jessie, my friend, I appreciate your read. I disagree here respectfully; assuming one's work can change lives is only a personal view of the writer toward their work. If 40 people read the piece, ten comment positively, and 30 left no comment, that doesn't leave us at 80%, 20%. 50% of the ten people might want to seek social connection. The 30 people might have disagreed, so they left no comment. What the writer thought of as helping might be destructing.
As a writer, it's not our job here to please nor try to enforce an idea; our job is to rationalize, entertain and present all perspectives; it's the reader's job to take a direction. Of course, that's only my view; I appreciate your participation, my friend.
