Medium brags about being an IT company yet till now they have failed to leverage the power of AI to hunt the good from the bad. They treat every work and every writer the same, it's either white or black. If they stop fighting AI for a second and hire better people at catching what is spammy and what is authentic and apply a rating system that limits spam comments and gives authentic ones more power that would be smart. What Medium is doing is illegal if it were a real offline business. No transparency, no clear instructions on how to get paid. Not only Medium, but all online platforms still have no clear regulation regarding how they pay contributions. Writers who spend more effort engaging with others and writing quality content should be paid fairly. A system that treats all the same is a failing system, period!
