I was a shy person who never liked to praise myself and hated people who talked about themselves. However, when I got into marketing, I started to understand that self-inflating isn't a bad thing and it's a strategy to attract attention if you don't overdo it. I think you must develop the right amount of self-awareness to understand your value and, over time, dare to talk about yourself comfortably.
