Never Give Up On Your Ambition
This afternoon I had a coffee with one of my best friends who has been struggling to earn big money for a long time; he works hard, is brilliant, and used to have a massive ambition for wealth and success and talk big about it. Somehow, today, something was off in his tone reflected a sign of defeat.
He told me, somehow, I don't want to change the world anymore. I don't want to be as successful as Steve Jobs or make tons of money; I think I found my inner peace and happiness and want to live simply.
I listened to the entire talk with a fake smile on my face without saying a word, but when I heard him say, "I wanted to live a simple life," my mind was, here we go again with the same "simple life" bullshit I hear everywhere.
He is like my brother. I have known him for almost twenty years, and I know he loves everything but a shitty and average life.
I smiled in his face and told him, brother, don't mix between ambition and income. You don't need to make millions of dollars right away to achieve your aim.
You have always wanted to achieve big things and must always keep that fire. If you eliminate that flame, you will find yourself lacking a significant purpose in life in a couple of years.
