Over 30 Impersonations: A Personal Message to My Followers
Be cautious of unsolicited messages and offers
To all my followers, friends, and readers on Medium,
I want to bring an important issue to your attention; in the past three months, my Medium account has been impersonated more than 30 times, sometimes even twice a day.
These scammers use my exact name and profile picture to make spammy comments and distribute WhatsApp numbers and Telegram invitations. This is causing confusion, especially for new writers and readers who may not realize these accounts are fake. It is disheartening because it harms the real writer’s image and reputation.
If you receive a spammy comment or response from an account claiming to be me (or any other writer):
- Click on their profile
- Check the URL and see if they have published any stories (Genuine authors will have a history on their page)
I will keep this story pinned on my profile page to avoid any future confusion. Thank you for your understanding. I appreciate all your love and support.
