What Are the Most Awkward Mistakes You Made as a Writer on Medium?

Mistakes, mistakes are the little stupid things we make; if we only knew what it takes to afford a beef stake, we would behave better on Medium and kick ourselves in the butt for making that awkward mistake. How was the rhythm of that masterpiece poem, ladies and gentlemen?

We all have made mistakes writing on Medium, reacting to negative comments, or being stubborn and ignorant while discussing our philosophies and point of view.

I will admit that I made a couple of mistakes that I regret now; the first is that I did not take the time to understand the audience on Medium better and pitched affiliate marketing offers to books on Amazon way too early. Later on, I discovered that most people on Medium are broke and don’t want to buy stuff while reading.

My second mistake was focusing too much on growth, neglecting engagement, and connecting with fellow writers. Medium is a community; the conversations and lessons we learn from fellow writers are worth the entire experience.
