What Does it Mean to be a Better Writer on Medium?
Recently I have been going through a lot of comments from decent writers degrading the quality of their work or from new writers talking about lacking the courage to start writing on Medium. Many people are taking the craft of writing here way too seriously.
This attitude reminded me of the excuses many people delay getting into business, investing in the stock market, teaching online, or starting a project beyond their comfort zone because they think they are not good enough to present themselves or move to the next level.
It also reminds me of the non-ending learning process people get hung with, taking tons of courses, listening to hundreds of podcasts, and looking for every source of wisdom to improve their skills.
I honestly don’t know the definition of being a better writer; I had never been a writer, I started writing four months ago because I wanted to write, and it seems people enjoy my writing.
I have read many top writers on Medium, and their boring writing put me to sleep; I believed I could write better content about money and entrepreneurship. I also read some of the new writers’ work with no writing experience and felt more engaged.
As a writer on Medium, can you take a few minutes and explain to your new fellow writers in a couple of words…
