What Is the Best Medium Articles Length that Earns Decent Money?
Too long, and most people get tired and can’t handle it any longer; too short, and it’s not satisfying; humans confuse me with reading content online. Most of you know that Medium earnings rely on two primary factors, the first is the read time or how long people read your articles in total, and the second is your affiliate subscribers’ earnings.
I see many people who write short articles and get excited with many views, reads, claps, and comments and believe they will earn a lot of money at the end of the month but get disappointed when they receive their skinny Medium checks.
The reason is that their articles aren’t long enough to earn noticeable profits. They are running behind the wrong metrics!
If you check for top writers on Medium, they usually publish an article for an average length of ten minutes or multiple pieces daily for a total read time of ten to fourteen minutes. I have found that articles of reading time over six minutes are less likely to have high engagement because the reader gets bored.
For me, articles between 600 words to 1800 words have performed the best, and that’s why I publish two pieces a day, twelve hours in between, for a total of 2000 words or so; the first is around 900 to 1200 words, and the second is around 400 to 800 words…
