…l to let him know we’d found more and he’d show up minutes later walking out with boxes full of it. We imagined it all beautifully displayed in glass front cabinets lining the walls of his home. Years later, we delivered a desk to his house. We spent an hour clearing aisleways to bring it in. To our surprise, all the antique cut glass remained in the bags and boxes, piled down the hallways, and filling rooms. It was sad.

Wow, that's really interesting! Why do you think he was buying all that cut glass and jasperware if he didn't end up displaying or using it as expected? Did he ever give any explanation for it?
