Who Do You Write for on Medium?
Yesterday I was amazed by the lovely comments of many excellent writers on this beautiful platform as they responded to my article. Why do you write on Medium?
If you haven’t read that article yet, I advise you to give it a quick look, but more importantly, to go through the comments and learn from other excellent fellow writers as they wrote jaw-dropping and inspiring answers.
I have discovered that most writers on Medium start writing with a great intention to help and inspire people. I was surprised that many are not here for the money but to support others by sharing their experiences, creative work, and stories.
One pattern I found is that most wonderful writers write without a clear reader in mind; they only write for the joy of writing. As wonderful as that is, I believe it’s not enough to write for one’s pleasure if we take the responsibility to transform, help and inspire others.
